Adebisi’s mystery failure at Eagle Farm last week hasn’t caused any sleepless nights for trainer Desleigh Forster ahead of the sprinter’s assignment in the Group One BTC Cup at Doomben.

Adebisi sent a scare through the Forster stable when he compounded to finish a long last behind Buffering in the weight-for-age Coca-Cola Amatil Handicap at Eagle Farm last Wednesday.

He was vetted and cleared of any injuries and was as bright as ever at trackwork at Eagle Farm the following day and had a leisurely hitout at the track on Saturday.

The four-year-old will have a serious gallop on Tuesday but Forster doesn’t expect there will be any further problems with the four-year-old.

“I had my vet look at him and he’s fine. He ate up straight after the race,” Forster said.

Forster gave consideration to having Adebisi scoped after Tuesday’s gallop but sees no reason for another vet check.

“I get my horses scoped all the time but he’s fine,” Forster said.

“You wouldn’t know he went around last week as he only raced for about 600 metres.

“The club vet looked at him immediately after the race and couldn’t find anything wrong and I don’t need to get a vet clearance to run him.

“He’ll work again on Tuesday and I’m sure you’ll see the real Adebisi next time.”

Forster has put the worst race of Adebisi’s career down to the wet track.

“You could see he wasn’t comfortable after he went 100 metres,” she said.

Forster does not believe Saturday’s BTC Cup is a one-horse race despite Buffering’s seven-length win.

“It’s a very open race and there’s no real standouts,” she said.

“I like the way Neeson has been racing lately and Title was a good run last time in The Galaxy.”

Forster believes the interstate raiders, particularly the Joe Pride-trained pair Neeson and Title, have undeniable claims against Buffering.

Neeson was placed behind stablemate Rain Affair in the Group Two Challenge Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill before finishing fourth to Master Of Design in the Group One TJ Smith at Randwick during the Sydney autumn.

He went down narrowly in a three-way photo last start when third to Tiger Tees and Pinwheel in the Listed Hall Mark Stakes at Randwick on April 28.

Title won the Listed McCarten Stakes at Rosehill in March before finishing fourth to Temple Of Boom in the Group One Galaxy on April 21.
